In the Spring of 1995 CAMLS began offering a series of "Transforming Libraries" workshops to help library leaders develop and strengthen their leadership capabilities. This fourth program in the series is intended to be a point for reflection and planning for participants in the previous workshops, as well as an opportunity for new participants to plan their future development as effective leaders.

Maureen Sullivan an organizational development consultant specializing in libraries, has designed this series of programs based on her 16 years of experience in training and educating leaders in librarianship. She has served as consultant for a variety of libraries in the areas of managing organizational change, strategic planning, leadership development, staff development, and organizational redesign.
