There are thirty adult correctional institutions with over 47,000
prisoners (male and female) in Ohio. Each institution has an academic
program and an inmate library which accept donated library materials for
teenage to adult reading levels.

Items most needed include fiction, non-fiction, reference books and
textbooks less than 5 (five) years old, illustrated series, current
legal textbooks, books in Spanish, self-help books, books on parenting,
and literacy materials for adult new learners.

In general, DRC/OCSS libraries do not accept National Geographic
magazines, religious books, romances, or bound Readers Digest books.

Contact Mr. Michel Perdreau, to locate the nearest prison library
within the Ohio Central School System (OCSS). He will put you in touch
with the librarian of the adult correctional institution or
community-based correctional facility, where materials can best be used.
The librarian will review with you the appropriate regulations and policies
(DRC & local institutional) concerning your book donation.

Items may be shipped "Library Rate," to the attention of the
librarian at the chosen institution, or donors may contact the librarian
for pickup.

Thank you for your consideration.
