Make your library and the Youth Services area a cool place that teens like to hang out. How do we make the library a hip place for teens? How do we create an inviting space and then market it to teens? Should we add comics and graphic novels to the collection and if so, what are good ones to purchase? How do we attract the younger tweens? And what are some sure-fire hit programs? Come to YSS XIV to find out answers to these questions and more.

Our Teen author is Vivian Vande Velde, her most recent book is Never Trust a Dead Man. Companions of the Night, earned her an ALA Best Book for Young Adults.

The other two featured speakers are Kevin King who will present Swing Dancing Through the Stacks and Other Nontraditional Library Programs and Karl Kendall from the well-touted Phoenix Public Library’s Teen Central.

Room reservations need to be made as soon as possible the cost is $88 plus bed tax. The Sawmill Resort Phone number is 419-433-3800.
