Routers help to form the backbone of the Internet but exactly how they function can be a mystery. In this class we'll work to remove some of the mystery and will provide attendees with a chance to gain hands-on experience with setting up and managing Cisco routers. Attendees will develop the skills needed to support network routing equipment in a medium to large library environment.
Attendees should have a general understanding of computer networking.
Note: The classes on 3/30/04 and 4/05/04 are being held only at the NOLA location. The 4/01/04 class will be held at the CAMLS electronic classroom at CCPL-Administration Building via videoconference. Shawn Walsh, the Senior Technology Analyst from NOLA will be in the CAMLS classroom to assist CAMLS members.
