Adobe Photoshop is a powerful application that is the industry standard for creating graphics for both print and the Web. This one-day workshop will offer an introduction to using Photoshop 7 to create graphic images and correct and manipuluate photos.

Course Content

  • Working with Photoshop tools and pallettes
  • Making good selections--a cornerstone of Photoshop
  • Working with Layers
  • Manipulating and retouching photographs
  • Using filters to create more interesting graphic styles
  • Exploring different in file formats
  • Understanding RGB and CMYK color
  • Develop a basic understanding of how to use Photoshop's ImageReady to save graphics for the Web that download faster and have better image quality.
Audience: Anyone who uses or is planning to use Adobe Photoshop software for print or Web design or digitization projects. No previous experience using Photoshop is required, however, participants should be comfortable using a mouse.
