Full day Workshop Materials Planner Checklist Using Information from the Every Child Ready to Read@Your library project, explore ways library staff can integrate early literacy information for parents and caregivers into storytimes. Includes current research on early literacy development, the role of the parent/caregiver in its development, and examples of the development of each of the 6 early literacy skills at different age levels from birth through five. Participants have hands-on practice developing a literacy-enhanced storytime by building on what they already do in storytimes.

Each person is to bring one book they like and have used in a storytime. Also they are to bring one storytime PLAN (not all the items, just the written plan for a favorite storytime).

This workshop is co-sponsored by NOLA and CAMLS
