Photoshop is a photo editing and painting program. Its comprehensive toolset can repair flaws, scratches, cracks, and general wear and tear in photos as well as create unique custom images. This class will provide the student with an understanding of imaging issues including specifying resolution while scanning, screen resolution vs. image resolution, image size, and re-sampling. A variety of specialized tools are used to combine images from multiple picture sources to create unique graphics. Specialized coloring effects, cropping tools, blending modes, and painting tools will be used to modify images.

    Audience: Anyone who uses or is planning to use Adobe Photoshop software for design or digitization projects. No previous experience using Photoshop is required, however, participants should be comfortable using a mouse.
