It is the purpose of the Children's Services Committee to provide a formal structure through which CAMLS area children's librarians can act to enhance the quality of library service to children in the CAMLS area by:

• developing cooperative programs and services;

• providing continuing education opportunities;

• sharing information and ideas;

• increasing visibility of library service to children;

• improving collection development and maintenance;

• promoting children's literature and literacy.
