Salary: $18.26 per hour
Principal duties: Provide comprehensive library services locally and systemwide to customers and staff in subject speciality - legal resources. Responsibilities include: collection development, staff training, programming and outreach, and general reference duties, including the use of online, CD-ROM and internet resources. Plans, organizes and participates in workshops and in-service training at local, regional, and systemwide levels. May be designated as person-in-charge of the regional facility in the absence of a manager.
Qualifications/Requirements: MLS from an ALA accredited library school and undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in related subject specialty. Applicant should have at least years of progressively more responsible library experience. Must have a thorough knowledge of legal specialty reference sources including Westlaw online and CD-ROM, and internet legal resources, as well as basic general reference resources, and be familiar with library operations and organization. Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a high level of analythical and problem solving ability, and be skilled in directing customers to legal resources. This position requires a proven ability to work with a diverse public which has high expectations for library service, be public service oriented and be flexible.
