Title: Reference & Instructional Librarian (9 mo)

Salary: Annual base minimum: $31,147; salary negotiable for candidates meeting preferred qualifications
Principal Duties: Performs general reference duties, including evening and weekend hours, assisting users with information and research needs. Develops and presents class lectures, demonstrations, workshops, and other instructional sessions to teach the use, understanding and evaluation of library and other information sources. Serves as Subject Bibliographer for at least one assigned academic area of the university, leading efforts in subject web and collection development, library instruction and promotion of library resources, as well as consulting with the faculty and students about their research and information needs. Participates in committees, task forces, and teams, and in professional associations.
Qualifications/
Requirements:
Required: Masters degree from an ALA-accredited program. Necessary skills include organizational, linguistic, computer, and analytical skills to enable effective retrieval of information; instructional skills to teach library use and information competency; and communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with diverse groups. Preferred: Degree or significant library experience in engineering, physical sciences, or computer science.
