Title: Administrative Secretary
Organization: Lorain Public Library
Location: Main Library, Administration Office
Hours: Full-time position - 38 hours/week
Salary: $26,457 - $32,519 per year depending on training and experience, excellent benefits.
Principal Duties: Duties include developing and maintaining various spreadsheets, database and mailing lists; scheduling appointments and committee meetings; preparing permanent record of board meetings; organizing and maintaining administrative office files; oversees daily activities of Library Clerk(s). Schedule will be daytime hours Monday through Friday. However, must be flexible and available to work evenings and weekends, six-day workweeks and/or split shifts as Administrative Office duties may sporadically require. Interviewing is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of December 8, 2022.
Qualifications/
Requirements:
Associate''s Degree in Secretarial Science or related field supplemented by 3-5 years extensive secretarial experience required. Experience working in a human resources department preferred. Benefits administration experience preferred. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures required. Advanced knowledge and skill in word-processing, spreadsheet and database software including demonstrated knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required; computer test required. Experience using hyperlinks with Microsoft Word and posting to web sites required. Experience using ABRA HRIS preferred. Experience taking and transcribing minutes required.
