| Principal Duties: | The Wilmington Public Library is seeking an innovative and dynamic leader. Wilmington is located in southwestern Ohio, 45 miles north of Cincinnati and 35 miles east of Dayton. WPL has a 2022 operating budget of $731,000, annual circulation of over 190,000 items, patron base of 13,000 and 16 FTE''s. The Wilmington Public Library Board of Trustees prefers a director with prior public library management experience (MLS preferred) and excellent people skills. The successful candidate will be sensitive to how the library fits into the unique community of Wilmington and can work respectfully with both staff and patrons. The ideal director will value and support staff members, uphold professional library standards, communicate with people easily, and have strong leadership skills. The board seeks a director who is consistent in policy matters but also creative and flexible in their thinking. Excellent benefits. |
