| Principal Duties: | The mission of Shaker Heights Public Library is to provide outstanding customer service, reliable information, and free material and services that reflect the diversity and character of our community. As an employer, we seek to hire individuals with the intellect, character and motivation to become outstanding members of the library community. We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, customer-oriented Librarian for a full time position. Responsibilities include providing reference and readersí advisory services, assisting customers in locating, selecting, and reserving library materials, and developing and maintaining a part of the libraryís collection. The person in this position will have particular responsibility for developing and maintaining the Libraryís local history collection. |
| Qualifications/ Requirements: |
A Masterís Degree in Library Science from a program accredited by the American Library Association and training in archival principles and practices are required. |
