Title: Collection Management and Planning Coordinator Librarian Level II or III, In University Library

Location: Kelvin Smith Library
Hours: Generally weekdays, some nights and weekends may be required
Salary: Minumum annual salary is $41,600/$49,500
Principal Duties: Provide leadership in planning and design of collection management, development services, and assist in activities relating to collection; provide analysis regarding collection develop and management, develop strategies to increase effectiveness of materials selection. Must be aware of trends in publishing and digital library. Ability to work with faculty, students, staff and other library users of culturally diverse backgrounds. Ability to work on simultaneous projects and meet deadlines with a high level of initiative and accuracy. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to assess needs, assign priorities, set goals and objectives, develops strategies, and evaluate. Ability to function effectively in a group/team environment. Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure and sometimes ambiguous environment. Ability to prepare, clear, accurate and informative statistical, technical, and other reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Ability to work creatively and productively with a diverse staff in a changing environment is critical.

Requirements:
Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to use technology to perform related planning and administrative tasks. Working knowledge of office application (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software. Knowledge of Web languages such as HTML, database management, and Access database creation are preferred. Librarian II requires a minimum of 3 years of library related experience. Librarian III requires a minimum of 5 years of library related experience. Previous experience in an academic library and familiarity with collections development and assessment, statistical analysis and budget management is required. A Master's Degree from an American Library Association-accredited library program is required. A second masters in the Humanities is preferred.
