| Principal Duties: | The Children’s Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing quality programs, reference and readers advisory service to the Early Childhood Education community. The position provides language and reading readiness (emergent literacy) services to the family child care community. Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing Early Childhood Education outreach. The coordinator develops collections of materials for each child care program and initiates and maintains contacts with organizations forming the child care community. The coordinator will be expected to participate in workshops, in service training, meetings. Compiles reading lists and annotated bibliographies on specific topics or subject areas. Additional duties include working at the children’s information desk and other duties as assigned. |
| Qualifications/ Requirements: |
Master of Library Science degree from an American Library Association accredited school of librarianship. Applicants must have education or experience that provide a broad knowledge of children’s literature and/or outreach services and programs. |
