| Principal Duties: | Under general supervision, provides reference and readers advisory services to children. Participates in collection development for the children’s collection. Prepares and presents regular programs within the library and also the schools and other outreach sites. Provides instruction on library technologies and research methods. |
| Qualifications/ Requirements: |
ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library Science. An enthusiastic commitment to customer service. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. Ability to develop programs and present them effectively to groups of children and families. Strong organizational skills. Ability to produce effective displays and handouts. Sound professional judgment. Ability to keep consistent and reliable statistics. Must have a strong knowledge of children''s reference and bibliographic resources. |
