Principal Duties: | Plans, develops, and implements Library customer and staff training programs related to the use of ACORN, the Internet application software, and library databases; provides ACORN/Internet and electronic resource support to Library customers and staff; assists in the design and maintenance of ACORN and Library web pages; and performs a variety of other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications/ Requirements: |
A demonstrated knowledge of application software, community network and Internet application skills; demonstrated knowledge of training techniques; ability to accurately assess Library customer and staff training needs; HTML and web page design preferred; demonstrated proficiency with computer software and hardware; strong verbal and written communications skills; sound professional judgment; good customer-relation skills, including a pleasing personality and the ability to get along well with others. A Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A Master of Library Science degree issued by an ALA-accredited school of library and information science and some previous library experience are preferred. |
