Principal Duties: |
Under minimal supervision, manages all Division operations including: interviewing, scheduling, training, motivating, and evaluating Electronic Services staff; develops and maintains a system-wide collection of electronic databases; oversees the planning implementation of computer training programs and services; oversees the design and maintenance of all Web site applications; maintains a high level of customer service in the Division; oversees PC technical assistance to patrons and staff using Library Technology; administer''s ACORN, the Library''s remote internet service; keeps abreast of current trends and development in computer technology; markets the services of the Division; and performs other tasks as assigned. |
Qualifications/
Requirements: |
Proven aptitude in professional library science, preferably in a public library setting, including a comprehensive knowledge of electronic databases, Web site design, PC usage and troubleshooting; demonstrated supervisory and management skills; ability to assess customer interests and needs and develop services and programs accordingly; excellent customer service skills; including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; ability to think and work independently; ability to speak and write effectively; and sound professional judgment. A Master of Library and Information Science degree issued by an ALA-accredited school of Library and Information Science and extensive professional library experience are required. |
