Title: Web Applications Supervisor

Principal Duties: Oversee acquisition, configuration, maintenance, and support of subscription databases using web technologies Oversee development of the Libraryís Intranets including a management confidential Internet Oversee the development, implementation, and support of essential Library services based on web and other Internet technologies, including, but not limited to the Library Catalog, Netnotices, etc. Oversee the development and maintenance of the Library web presence, including the library catalog, subscription databases and federated searching, virtual reference, eBooks and audio eBooks, etc. Support for the CLEVNET Library Consortium and statewide virtual reference services such as: seniorsconnect.org (North Coast Seniors Connect-a partnership with United Way & First Call for Help) knowitnow.org (State-wide virtual reference) homeworknow.org (state-wide virtual reference) readthisnow.org (State-wide virtual readersí advisory) Provide training in and documentation of web applications Oversee the electronic publication of Library information and resources Performs other duties as required or assigned Supervises staff, including scheduling/assignment of work and measuring performance
Qualifications/
Requirements:
Project management skills Good communication skills Familiarity with essential Library standards, including but not limited to, USMARC, Z39.50 Familiarity with essential technologies for dynamic web page generation Familiarity with essential and developing Internet standards, including but not limited HTML, XML, CGI, and graphic formats Desired Experience Sirsi Unicorn; Sirsi Web2, WebFeat, Serials Solution Qualifications: ALA accredited Masterís Degree in Library & Information Science Minimum two years experience in managing a Library web site, and familiarity with Library web catalogs One to two years supervisory experience desirable Experience with electronic publication, writing and editing
