Title: Clerk-Treasurer

Principal Duties: Clerk Treasurer-Part-time Perry Public Library Perry Public Library is an association library located in Lake County Ohio, 35 miles east of Cleveland; it has a budget of nearly $1,000,000 and a staff of 23. Responsibilities: The Clerk Treasurer's primary responsibilities include general ledger and month-end processing, annual budgets, biennial audits, management of payroll, tax filing, and county and state reporting, budget forecasting and investment management. Prepares and reports financials at monthly board meetings, records and distributes board minutes and assists the director in preparing the annual budget. Maintains financial records in accordance with chapter117-4 of the Ohio Revised Code. Reports to Board of Trustees and Library Director.
Qualifications/
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred, plus three years' appropriate experience. Experience with government and fund accounting desired. Proficiency with UAN (Uniform Accounting Network) and Excel software advantageous. Must qualify to be bonded and a licensed and insured driver. Qualified candidate must be a team player, have excellent communication skills and computer proficiency. Benefits: Pay from: $15.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience, excellent benefits package including Public Employees Retirement System.
