| Principal Duties: |
The Main Library of the Cleveland Public Library is one of the finest and most well supported public research libraries in the nation. Serving a diverse and active urban and suburban community, the collection includes over 2 million titles and 12 million items in all formats and technologies. The Main Library has several endowed special collections, and an extensive rare book collection. The facility consists of a newly constructed building connected to the original renovated 1925 building (10 public floors), and an offsite storage facility. Main library staff includes 14 managers and 133 FTE staff in a union environment. The Head of Main Library is one of a team of 10 administrators system wide, and has primary responsibilities of budget, collection, services, and staff at The Main Library Complex. |
