Thirty participants will be selected from among applicants who meet the following criteria:

Librarians with 2 - 10 years of library experience after earning a Master of Library Science degree.

The Institute will also accept up to two people who are currently working on an MLS degree and have 2 - 10 years of library experience

Recognizing that some potential leaders may not have access to a library school or their position does not require an MLS degree, the Institute will accept up to three people with 5 - 10 years of library experience in non-M.L.S positions.
