CAMLS Advisory Council Meeting
Cuyahoga County Public Library Administrative Building, Parma

The main topic of discussion will be the review of recommendations from the CAMLS Strategic Planning Committee. The 17-member committee will have met five times since the March 20 Advisory Council meeting as they develop new strategies and directions for CAMLS in the coming months and years. Dr. John Yankey of the Mandel School for Non-Profit Organizations is facilitating the process.

Readers Advisory
Technology has contributed to a cultural shift away from books, or so it seems. Dr. Catherine Sheldrick Ross from the University of Western Ontario is a speaker at the third Back to The Book conference co-sponsored by CAMLS and NOLA. Dr. Ross' paper, "Reading in the Digital Age" presents a fascinating look at the place of books and reading in modern life and how libraries can respond.
