I love the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" and just about everyone I know who has read it feels the same.  I wonder though how the novel has been accepted in the South.  I would hope that people of all political and social philosophies realize that what happened to Tom Robinson was wrong.  Just curious.

Reading is not a hobby. It is as important to living as breathing.

To kill a mocking Bird was a very cool book.  At first I thought it was going to be a very boring book.  It is a great book to read during black history month.  So go pick it up at a local liabrary.  Or ask a teacher about it,  and READ it.  Once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down.  HOLLA!

I love this book too.  Reading it for the fourth time in 3 decades, I realize that it is less a book about Civil Rights, and more a coming-of-age story.   As the children mature, they learn what it takes to stand up for one's beliefs, and that adults are often flawed.

When our teacher mentioned we were going to start reading, To Kill A Mocking Bird the title didn't catch my attention and I had no interest in it what so ever. Many of my classmates said they've read the book before and honestly it didn't interest me to read it. Even after the first few chapters of the book it didn't catch my attention much, but as we progressed through the the novel I've bacome more interested in it. I'm not much of a reader and do to that I enjoy the movie a lot more. It gives you a different aspect of the story.
