I originally read TKAM and saw the movie when it first came out so it has been a while. This time I listened to the story on an audiotape as read by a narrator with a Southern accent. It added a dimension missing from my first read.
My question is this. When Scout asked Atticus why there were no women on the jury, his response was rather cavalier and, to me, seemed out of character for Atticus. Did anyone else notice this and/or were you bothered by it?
