Designed to provide an overview of the many components of public relations, this workshop will show you how successful marketing and an organizational commitment to excellent public relations practice can literally save your library in today's competitive information marketplace.

The emphasis in this seminar is on trainee involvement. Through the use of group discussions, exercises, real-life examples and planning time to put these principles into action, you will leave with the motivation, skills and knowledge to change the way you communicate information to the general public and the community leaders. The final hour of the program will be a talk table for public relations professionals to discuss the practical issues involved in marketing libraries.
