This full-day class focuses on Microsoft Word’s document features to improve the appearance and functionality of reports and documents. This class picks up where the Intermediate class left off with a more in-depth look at tables. You will be exposed to the Tables and Borders toolbar, learn impressive formatting techniques, and how to incorporate advanced formulas in your table data using hidden format codes. Using the advanced functionality of styles, you’ll learn to quickly format new documents by attaching style codes to paragraphs, and how to reformat existing documents in seconds. Combining styles with Outline View, you’ll learn how to move and edit large sections without the need to cut and paste.

You will also learn the proper way to attach a table of contents to a document and how to create links to jump to specific document sections. You will create a document index using a combination of marked entries and concordance files and create main entries, sub-entries, and cross-references. You will also learn to manage documents through the use of versioning, the tracking of document changes in a networked environment, the attaching and tracking of user comments to specific text, and more.

Intended Audience
This class is a must for anyone wishing to learn how to easily manage long documents, track changes over time, enhance reports, and improve overall productivity by eliminating hours of unnecessary work. Prerequisite: Attendance of the Microsoft Word Intermediate class.
