As more of our work is done in groups and teams, the need for effective facilitators in our organizations has become evident. This workshop will help you become an effective facilitator. Among the topics are key elements of effective facilitation, understanding group dynamics, tools and techniques for problem solving and decision making, focusing on results and group process, helping groups deal with conflict, and how to handle problems and roadblocks. |

Presenter
Maureen Sullivan is an organizational development consultant whose practice focuses on consulting and training services to libraries and other information organizations. She has more than twenty years of experience as a consultant on strategic planning, leadership & staff development, and organizational change. Her experience includes twelve years as the human resources administrator in the libraries at the University of Maryland and Yale. Ms. Sullivan is a past president of the Association of College and Research Libraries. She was president of the Library Administration and Management Association for the 1988-89 term. Ms. Sullivan received her B.A. and Library Science degree from the University of Maryland.
