- OPLIN for Children Session
- (5/20/99) CAMLS will sponsor an OPLIN training session on Thursday, June 17 at Shaker Heights Public Library for Children's Services librarians. "OPLIN for Children" will cover learning styles and how to teach kids to access information via OPLIN's "OH Kids!" page. Participants will also learn how to enhance service to youth through use of the OPLIN commercial databases, and search the WWW using search engines. The class will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Register Online

- "Tech Connections" Symposium
- (4/22-23/99) CAMLS is partnering with other Regional Library Systems, The State Library, and OPLIN to present a two-day technology symposium in Columbus on June 14 and 15, 1999. Geared to technology staff, administrators, as well as librarians who want to increase their technical knowledge, the event will feature national and local speakers presenting a broad range of high- and low-tech topics. - "The Future of Professional Education" Featured at CAMLS Annual Meeting
- (4/23/99) Register now for CAMLS Annual Meeting to be held Wednesday, May 26 at Wagner's Country Inn in Westlake. Cleveland Public Library Director Marilyn Gell Mason will report on the ALA-sponsored Congress on Professional Education during the program portion of the meeting.

- Advanced Web Search Class Added to Spring Schedule
- (3/15/99) Registrations are being accepted for an addtional session of "Becoming a Web Super-Searcher" scheduled for Friday, May 28. The class will be taught by Gail Junion-Metz. Many of the seats in this class have been filled from the waiting lists for the previous sessions, so you are encouraged to register soon if you would like to attend.
