Title: Purchasing Clerk
Organization: Cuyahoga County Public Library
Location: Purchasing Department, Administration Building
Hours: 20 Hours per week
Salary: $10.00 per hour
Principal Duties: Under moderate supervision, maintains supply of stock items to meet the library requisition needs. Orders replacement goods, organizes stock items and picks, pulls, and packs items as requested from submitted supply requisition forms. Performs various clerical functions to facilitate the purchasing function of the department and helps maintain fixed asset inventory. Expedites vendor shipping including related telephone and written correspondence. Occasionally works independently.
High school or GED is required. One to two years office clerical and/or stock room experience. Knowledge of stock room procedures and practices including asset inventory control, and invoice approval methods. Must be computer literate and have keyboard skills. Ability to use standard office equipment, calculator, fax, copier, etc. Must have a valid Ohio Driver''s license and own vehicle preferred. Moderate physical effort required involving bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders, and long periods of standing. Requires occasional lifting and moving of moderately heavy objects (20-50 pounds).
