| Principal Duties: |
The Marion Public Library, located in Marion, Ohio serves the county area through 1 main library, 4 branch libraries and a staff of 76. Population: 66,000; budget: 3.1 million; circulation: 864,000; collection: 286,000 items. The Marion Public Library has a long history of providing high quality traditional and innovative library services. The successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to relate well to the public and library staff, possess good organizational skills and be progressive. The director will be required to promote public relations and outreach, staff development and team building and provide ongoing facility and service evaluations. |

Requirements: |
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: ALA-accredited MLS with appropriate undergraduate degree a plus. Minimum of 6 years professional public library experience with at least three in administration. |
