| Principal Duties: |
Plans and delivers innovative approaches to instruction and research to a diverse population of students, faculty and staff. Promotes and supports student learning. Fulfills a combination of responsibilities in the areas of reference, collection development, bibliographic instruction, information literacy training, and liaison work with faculty. Monitors and evaluates new research technologies. Publicizes and promotes library services with the College. Participates in appropriate professional development activities. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science from an accredited ALA program. Ability to provide research advice and instruction at a general reference desk on the use of print and electronic resources. Working knowledge of new and emerging technologies and familiarity with their impact on higher education. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in bibliographic instruction; Demonstrated familiarity with current trends and issues in information literacy training and critical thinking skills training.
