Principal Duties: Web Services Librarian (2 positions) - Provides support to the College faculty and staff by providing education and training in the use of Web-based electronic resources. Develops Web-based instructional materials. Evaluates web sites and develops pathfinders. Collaborates with instructors to develop Web-based resources for campus based and distance learning courses. Regularly contributes to the content and design of the library homepage. Responsible for responding to library Website feedback and performing online reference duties. Develops Web-based curriculum supportive library services, in both the campus-based and distance learning venues. Participates in Collection development activities. Monitors and evaluates new Web development tools and technologies. Publicizes and promotes library services within the College. Communicates new technology initiatives, projects, and/or services to the College community. Participates in appropriate professional development activities. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program. Demonstrated proficiency with HTML; Ability to design, create, and maintain HTML documents. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with HTML editing tools. Understanding of advanced web technologies such as DHTML and Javascript.
