CAMLS provides a distribution service for materials going to area public libraries and several academic libraries from non-profit organizations. The following guidelines have been developed to aid you in packaging and labeling the materials. CAMLS is pleased to offer this service to our non-profit counterparts as a way for organizations to save postage, multiple-location delivery fees, and volunteer driving time. Questions should be referred to the CAMLS Office between 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at (216) 921-3900. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.

1. As of July 1, 1999, CAMLS will be charging a $150 handling fee, per shipment, to send materials through the CAMLS distribution system. A check made out to the Cleveland Area Metropolitan Library System should accompany the materials.
2. Consult the attached list of CAMLS member libraries to determine what quantities you want distributed to which libraries.
3. Prepare packets for each library, either in 9" X 12" envelopes or boxes. Write the name of the library using the CAMLS abbreviation on the packet or box. If you would like a set of labels for each library, please call the CAMLS office and we will send them to you. Packets for multi-branch library systems may be put in one box, taped, with the library acronym or label written on the outside of the box. Materials for those libraries with 3-5 branches may be banded together, or you may put the 3-5 envelopes in one large envelope or box. Please have the envelopes taped or sealed closed as you would for mailing.
4. Deliver to the CAMLS office. Please call in advance to make certain someone will be in.
5. Indicate total number of items being distributed, i.e. the number of items per envelope times the number of envelopes.
