CAMLS has unveiled a new web site this month, and in a first-of-its kind for Ohio Library Continuing Education providers, established a portal of CE information for our members.

By signing up for a My CAMLS account, users will be able to view CAMLS courses they have taken, courses they are currently signed up for, and keep a tally of continuing education credits. Currently, the tally displays CAMLS CEUs, but by fall 2022 users will be able to enter hours from courses taken through other agencies.

The portal also will provide users with articles and information on other training opportunities that will facilitate professional development based on the profiles they create for themselves.

The new calendar features a function to sort events, as well as an option for members to add programs and events from their libraries. Based on the popularity of the events section of the “North Coast Neighbors Share a Book” site that was created and maintained by CAMLS, the calendar gives CAMLS members the opportunity to promote programs happening at their libraries and either write a short description of the event or link to their own sites.

Many of the regular features are still available, including a re-vamped Program Bank, disability clip art, and the most comprehensive job opportunity source for libraries in Ohio, which will soon have a feature for users to post and review resumes.
